Or maybe you’ve found yourself in
a place that you wanted so bad but it just wasn’t working out the way you had
hoped it would. In either case, it’s time to take a step back and ask yourself,
“am I really where God can use me in the way He wants to use me”?
Sometimes we stay in a place where we want to be used but it’s
not really the place God wants to use us.
By trying to stay in an area of ministry that we are not called to, we
are actually hindering ourselves and God in being able to use us more
effectively in line with His plan. Not
only are we hindering ourselves by staying in an area God didn’t intend for us
to be, but we are hindering ourselves because God wants to use us somewhere
else and so now that area has been put on hold.
We can actually miss out on what God has for our own lives by staying in
a place that was not meant for us.
In
turn we can actually be causing another to miss out because we have filled in
that space that was meant for them. So
how do we know where God wants us? Examine our hearts and our motives where God
has blessed us. Meaning what are your
gifts, talents and skills? What do you
excel in? Are you bringing glory to God
in these areas or are you struggling to make it work? The abilities that you
have, are they strong in the area you are in or do you really have to work
harder at it than you should be?
Thank you!
