Healing Hearts With Truth

The other evening an interesting thing happened when my husband and I decided to go out to dinner. We chose a buffet style restaurant and as I'm coming around the corner back to our table, I see and hear our waitress singing to the song coming over the intercom. When she realized I saw her, she looked a bit embarassed. I said oh I caught you singing, at which she replied, yes you did. I do my own concerts a lot when I'm here. She then apologized for singing. I told her there's no need to apologize and told her I'm a singer myself. That opened the door for me to tell her about my band and I did so by explaining how my wristband would bring up links to our music by her tapping her phone on it. She was intrigued but the moment I said we are a "Christian" rock/metal band and asked her if she would like to hear one of our songs, it was clear by the look on her face that she wanted to leave the table quickly. She was polite but she left abruptly at that moment. Because it was her job, she came to our table a few more times but it was strictly to do her job and leave again. When we were almost finished, another waitress came to take care of us. My husband thought maybe it was due to a shift change. That was possible, but in the back of my mind I was thinking I had probably scared her away and therefore she had probably asked the other lady to take care of us. It was a few minutes later and our original waitress had resurfaced and while she was seating new customers, she kept glancing our way. Finally she decided to come back to our table and it was clear she seemed troubled. We didn't say anything, just waited for her to speak..and she did. The first thing she said was, so you're in a metal band. I said yes. She then asked if I was the singer and said she's always thought about the talent it takes for a female to sing metal music. Another doorway opened and I took it. I asked her if she would like to hear a song and she was curious and said yes. I wasn't sure what God wanted me to play for her so as I'm scrolling through our songs on YouTube, I was asking God which one would speak to her. The song Pray To You came to my mind. I began to play it and she commented on the beauty of my voice and how much she really liked the music. Then the surprise and excitement left her face and she abruptly said so what religion are you, what church do you go to? I felt the Lord hold me back from answering her questions and instead I heard myself ask her, what do you believe? She stretched out her arms and said, oh I'm spiritual, I believe in everything. I asked her to explain what she means by "everything". She said, she believes it all. Then she really got to what I felt she had been wanting to say all along. She said, I used to go to church but pastors judge you and we aren't supposed to judge anyone and pastor's are the worst. Another door opened for her to hear the truth and I said, well I'm a pastor and that's not entirely true. We are told to judge, but not through condemnation but rather through righteousness, and a Christian is not to judge an unbeliever. She repeatedly said thank you and smiled. I gave her examples of the difference between righteous judgement and condemnation. She was clearly interested in hearing this and continued to say thank you. I followed up with scripture where Jesus said forgive them Father for they know not what they do. I explained the reason why Jesus said this and how if we truly knew how much things we say and do can grieve the heart of God, we wouldn't do those things. She agreed. I proceeded with saying how sorry I was for what she's gone through with pastors, Christians and people in general. She had tears in her eyes and spoke through a shaky voice as she began to tell me how she used to be an addict and is now 36 years sober. My husband and I smiled, commended her and said we are proud of her for beating this for addiction is not an easy thing to overcome. She thanked us and then I went back to the first part of our conversation and asked her again, what she believes. I felt in my spirit that she had been hurt for so long that she really didn't want to believe in anything but wore a mask so no one could hurt her anymore, especially Christians. She didn't know what to say. Door opened..I began to explain how in different religions they pray to and may even ask forgiveness from a certain person or deity. I further explained how people need to forgive each other, but that is so they can each move forward without hanging onto things they need to let go of, but that that is different than asking Jesus to forgive our sins. I explained how out of all religions, Jesus is the only one that gave His life for us and therefore He is the only one with the authority to forgive us of our sins through repentance. I could see that I had her attention but someone at a table was waving her over. She started to walk away but came back quickly and handed me her small notebook and asked me to write down my band info and videos of me preaching. I did both and when she came back to our table I talked to her about Jeremiah 29:11 and as I was reciting it to her, she joined me in reciting it. She said it was her favorite scripture and told us how it helped her get through the addiction. She also said another was "And this too shall pass". She said she stands on these two scriptures. She thanked me again as we were leaving.

The take away.. God opens doors for us to reach out in kindness, not reckless judgment in order to help, heal and promote truths where others may have distorted it. Don't be afraid to speak up to help set a wrong right. Someone may need to hear words of love, and hope spoken through kindness in order to help them let go of the hurt and move forward in faith.

False Churches.. False Teachers

There are many churches that only teach you how to become a better you but they neglect to teach you that you have to die to yourself and allow God to make all things new in you in order for that to happen. 

I'm going to step on toes here and I'm okay with that because you see, Jesus died so we could be reconciled back to Him at the end of this life. Without Him, we are bound for hell for all eternity after this life on earth. If we say we love Jesus and if we say we are living for Jesus there will be a repentance and a turning away from sin will be evident in our lives. 

You cannot cannot cannot say you are a true believer in Christ and continue to live the same life you were living before you repented and asked Jesus to come into your life because you see.. once Jesus comes in, He cleans house! I'm going to say this boldly.. If your life didn't change, you don't have Jesus..period!

Maybe you got saved in what I call a feel good moment. Friends if that is the case, you need to check yourself and your walk because nothing changes if Nothing Changes. If nothing took root and there's not been a significant change with a walking away from your sinful nature, you need to go back to the foot of the cross and repent first and then make a conscious decision to allow God to mold you into the man or woman He desires you to be, daily.

Daily is a crucial word here because we must die to ourselves daily. We must crucify the thoughts and actions of our flesh daily. We cannot live the same life as we did before, after coming to Jesus. Yes, we are to come as we are, but we are not to stay as we are.

With Jesus there is transformation! There is a renewing of our mind and our heart because the Holy Spirit comes to live within us. Friends, let me share something real important with you.. The Holy Spirit is your helper. He is sent by your Father in heaven to be your guide and He will never steer you down the wrong path and He will never go against the Word of God.

Friends, if you are in a church or watching a pastor online and he or she tells you to come as you are and that Jesus will meet you right where you are BUT they don't tell you that you have to lay down your life through repentance, which begins with asking for forgiveness of your sins and making the decision to turn away from those sins and sinful behavior, and leads to inviting Jesus in to be the Lord over your life, through prayer, and then taking it a step further with teaching you how to crucify your flesh daily, that's not the pastor you should be listening to and it's not who you should be following for a Christ like example.

When you sell out to Jesus, your life is no longer your own. Your desires are no longer your own. Your thoughts will be guided by the Holy Spirit and when this happens, there will be a real and evident change in your life and Everyone you meet will see that change in you. Your desires will change. Your words will change. Your actions will change. Everything about you now becomes all about Him and once you come to know Him and love Him, you will have a desire to follow Him and do things His way and you will have a desire to tell others all about the One who saved you and changed your life.

So I ask you now to take a real good look at yourself and ask yourself this very important question..

Has there been a life altering change in my life since I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior? If Jesus is your Savior, that means He came in and started cleaning you up.. He saved you from sin and essentially from yourself.

If your life didn't change, it beckons you to ask yourself the next question.. was I truly repentive of my sins when I asked Jesus into my heart? Did I turn away from my sinful nature? Friends if the answer is no, please search your heart. There's still time to get right with Jesus. You can come to him now, no matter where you are at this moment. It begins with a sincere prayer of repentance and believing that Jesus died for your sins so that you can have eternal life and then it requires you to dive into the Word of God to find out who He is and learn how He can help you stay on the path of righteousness. Once you begin to allow Jesus and His love to overtake you and to take root in your life, you now belong to Him. Please read Romans 12:2

Friends, Jesus is the only way and through Him there is Salvation but that only comes when we ask for forgiveness and then allow Jesus that place in our lives that can only be filled by Him. Jesus makes all things new.

Maybe you feel you've been running for far too long and doing things wrong for far too long and that you can't or won't be accepted. Well let me reassure you that Jesus is just waiting on you to come back to Him. You were His in the beginning but then sin crept in and we were all tainted. That's why Jesus went to the cross and willingly gave up His life for you. You are worth it to Jesus and His ultimate desire is for you to come to Him and allow Him to change you into the man or woman He desires for you to be. As long as you have breath in your body, it's never too late for you to come back to your first love, and that love is Jesus!

The Truth About “Once Saved Always Saved” That Often Gets Missed

Consider this: one of the most debated teachings in the Body of Christ may also be one of the least understood. What if the truth goes beyond both extremes—beyond “you can never lose your salvation” and beyond “you can lose it at any moment”?

This is where confusion sets in. Some people rest in a false sense of security, while others live weighed down by fear. Yet God is not the source of confusion. His truth brings clarity, balance, and understanding.

Let’s begin with what Scripture clearly affirms. In John 10:28, Jesus says, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” This shows the security believers have in Him. Salvation is not something others can take away—it is God’s gift.

Ephesians 2:8–9 also tells us that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works. This means salvation is not earned by human effort and cannot be boasted about.

But Scripture does not stop there. It also gives strong warnings. Hebrews 6:4–6 speaks of those who were once enlightened and yet fell away. Hebrews 10:26 warns about continuing in sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth.

So how do we understand this?

The key is this: salvation is not merely a moment—it is a relationship. Many see it as a one-time decision, but the Bible describes it as an ongoing walk with God.

In John 15:5–6, Jesus says, “I am the vine; you are the branches… if anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers.” The focus here is on remaining.

Remaining in Christ is not passive. It is a daily choice to walk in faith, obedience, and surrender.

Here is the balance:

God is faithful to keep you, but you must continue with Him

No one can take you out of His hand, but you can choose to leave

Grace saves you, and true grace changes you

Jude 1:24 declares that God is able to keep you from falling—but it does not remove your ability to resist Him.

Galatians 5:4 even warns that some have “fallen from grace,” showing that it is possible to step away—not because God fails, but because people stop walking in truth.

This leads to an important truth:

Salvation is secure in Christ, but it is not a license for careless living. Grace is not a free pass to keep on sinning.

Genuine salvation produces a changed life. If there is no transformation, something deeper needs to be examined.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father.”

This isn’t about being perfect—it’s about direction. A true believer may fall, but they don’t remain there. They repent, get back up, and continue walking with God.

Today, many teachings lean too far in one direction. Some emphasize security without responsibility, which can lead to carelessness. Others emphasize the risk of falling away without assurance, which can lead to fear. But truth is found in balance.

Philippians 2:12 says, “Work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” This doesn’t mean earning salvation—it means taking it seriously and living it out with reverence.

In summary:

Salvation is a gift of grace

God is faithful to keep His people

No outside force can remove you from Him

But a person can choose to walk away

True salvation results in transformation

Remaining in Christ is a daily commitment

Balance brings both assurance and responsibility

Reflect on your walk. Are you actively abiding in Christ, or relying only on a past moment? This is not meant to bring fear, but to bring clarity and truth.

Take time to think on this. Let it shape your heart. And if it speaks to you, share it so others can grow in understanding as well.

El Roi.. The God Who Sees Me

El Roi means “The God who sees me.” Ro'iy in the original Hebrew can be translated as shepherd, or as seeing, looking, or gazing. In other words, when we feel most invisible and forgotten by everyone else, we can remember that God does see us.

We all face circumstances that can leave us drained but when you trust in God to lead you through them, you will come out of your circumstances with a better understanding of who God is as well as who He is to you. You'll begin to see how He was and still is with you thru it all. You'll experience His unconditional love for you.

There was a time in my life when I felt I had lost everything I had worked hard for and most importantly I felt I had lost everyone in my life except my ferret Koda Bear, now deceased. Before his passing many years ago, there were days I was afraid to say good morning to Koda for fear of what I might find when I woke up. There were times when I felt alienated by everyone around me and there were times when I felt I couldn't tell anyone what I was going thru for fear of how they might take it. I feared they would condemn me rather than offer to help or to pray with me. Rumors went around that were not true and I didn't know how to counter them with anything other than the truth, which is what I stand for yet it never seemed to be enough. Unfortunately the truth isn't always what people want to hear so they draw their own conclusions. This caused me to steer clear of people and retorted to only talking to God for a few years. I alienated myself and threw myself strictly into reading the Bible and praying. Music is my passion and I had lost interest in music and in watching tv. I had no desire for anything but to read, pray, go to church and talk to Jesus.  That's not a bad thing but it's a hard thing when you feel you have no one else you can talk to.

What I've learned during that time of really drawing nearer to God is this.. When it feels like all else has fallen away, God is always near and when we draw near to Him, He will draw nearer to us. He is the God who sees us and He is able to change things in the blink of an eye. He never leaves us nor forsakes us and in Him there is total freedom from whatever is causing our fears. Fears cancels out faith and faith always cancels out fear.  We only need to trust Jesus for when we ask we shall receive. God is good! He's going to give us the desires of our hearts. This doesn't mean you'll get exactly what you're asking for but when we seek Him first, He will change our hearts desires to meet His own. 

Through His word and prayer He has taught me how to open up to Him while holding nothing back. He's shown me how to love with no condemnation. He's restored family, relationships and friendships as well as bringing more family, relationships and friendships into my life.  The things I've lost in other areas He's graciously restored in more ways than I can count.  What did I have to do? I had to let go and let God work. I had to trust in Him and then have faith and believe that He is everything He says He is and will do all that His word says He will do.  I also had to give Him praise, honor, and to glorify Him even in the midst of my trials, and in my circumstances I had to be content in knowing that God is in control of ALL things.

God will restore what we have lost when we allow Him to move in our lives. He is the God who sees. He has restored many people and things in some areas and some are still a work in progress but I know He will fulfill my life in the best way He has planned, according to His plan for me.

We sometimes tend to forget that He alone is in control when we surrender all self unto Him. This includes the giving of every part of our lives and the depths of our hearts desires. If we can do this and trust Him, He will make our paths straight and conform our will to His. His desires will become our desires and in turn we will become more like Jesus Christ in knowing how to love and how to accept His love. It really is all about love and God is love.

The greatest commandment is to Love! Look around you and if you see someone or hear of someone that is hurting, struggling or in need please take a moment to pray and see if God is asking you to be the one to reach out to them with God's love by physically helping or by praying over and for them. We may not know what someone may be going thru or has gone thru and we should never make an assumption of thinking that we do. Unless we ask that person directly and they tell us, we just don't know. Hearsay and gossip breeds fires and rumors. Just ask the person instead of drawing your own conclusions about who they are, what they're about and what's going on in their life. Pray for them and then pray a hedge of protection over them. After all..that's what Jesus does for us. He goes before us to make intercession to our Father on our behalf. Angels are sent to fight our battles while God gives us strength and peace to wait for His answer. 

Don't misunderstand me. We should never enable bad behaviors to continue. We should pray that if the person is not willing to listen to us, then ask for God to send someone along their path that they will listen to. 

Love without condemning.  Judge from a righteous spirit and not a fleshly one. For by what rule we measure we too will be measured.

Prayer sets us all free! When we pray for others God will answer our prayers too. Always remember that there is nothing hidden from your heavenly Father for He is the God who sees.

What Does "Be the Salt of the earth" truly mean?

 

Salt Stings.

Anyone who has ever felt it in an open wound knows that instantly. It burns, it cleans, and it refuses to pretend the injury isn’t there. Salt preserves by confronting decay, not by politely coexisting with it. It does not make peace with rot. It stops it.

That’s why Jesus’ words land harder than we usually let them.

When we hear “you are the salt of the earth,” we hear a compliment. Dependable. Pleasant. The kind of person who keeps things civil. We hear “nice” when we think of being salt.

That is not what the Hebrew people heard. To them the salt wasn’t seasoning. It was survival. They had no refrigeration, no backups, no second chances with food. If meat wasn’t salted, it spoiled quickly. Salt stood between provision and loss, between nourishment and hunger. Without it, decay won.

When Jesus called people salt, He wasn’t talking about flavor.

He was talking about preservation.

About slowing what naturally falls apart.

Salt was also weighty. Valuable. It was measured, guarded, traded. Roman soldiers were sometimes paid in salt—worth your weight in salt wasn’t a figure of speech; it was a paycheck. Salt meant cost. Importance. Worth. Salt meant covenant.

In the Hebrew Scriptures, salt appears in sacrifices and binding agreements. A “covenant of salt” signified permanence and loyalty—something that would not spoil, fade, or be abandoned. Salt sealed promises. It declared, this will last.

Salt was never about being flexible or agreeable. It was about faithfulness. Stability. The kind of presence that holds the line when everything else begins to erode.

Jesus adds a warning we often gloss over: if salt loses its saltiness, it becomes useless. Not boring. Not outdated. Useless—because it can no longer do the one thing it exists to do.

Salt that doesn’t preserve is just dust underfoot.

To a first-century listener, salt wasn’t flattery. It was responsibility.

What does Salt man to you?

It means You matter because You preserve.

You are needed because You slow decay.

Your presence keeps things from spoiling completely.

Not loud.

Not flashy.

Not always comfortable.

But essential.

That’s what salt meant to them and it's what salt should still man to us.

And once you hear it that way, the verse stops being about being “nice people” and starts being about faithful people—standing firm in a world that naturally falls apart which makes far more sense than assuming Jesus was just using the word salt to compliment.

Love More.. Love Better

 In this generation of life it's real easy even as Christians to look at the world around us and end up dwelling on all the bad things we see taking place. Many pray for Jesus to come back now, without realizing that if He did, many of our own loved ones are still lost and live without Jesus.

As a warrior of Christ, we should be praying for the lost and the oppressed while we still have the opportunity to do so. As a warrior of Christ, we have been given the responsibility to pray and furthermore we should desire to pray for change to take place instead of sitting back and watching it happen.

By sharing the word of God we share His love with others. By showing love, we share His word with others. Gods word is His love and His love is in His word and we can know His word and His love through the reading of the bible. His word tells us that we are to love people.

I would encourage us all to pray more, seek Jesus more and forgive more so that we can all see more clearly how we can love more and love each other better.

Why Go To Church?

Good morning! While listening to, dancing to and praising Jesus through this song this morning, I started getting even more excited for church tomorrow. Then it hit me.. Tomorrow is Saturday! Oh well.. let the praises ring out cause Sunday's a coming! You might ask what's so special about Sunday when I can praise Jesus anytime and anywhere. Ahh.. We have the freedom to do so too! But you see.. there's just something so amazing about being in a body of believers and having fellowship within a body of believers and that usually happens on Sunday's.

It's a time when the children of God can assemble together and just love on Jesus as one body of Christ. It's also a time for those who need to be lifted up to be uplifted by their brothers and sisters in Christ. It's a time of reflection of ourselves to repent and allow Jesus to mold us into better versions of ourselves according to His plan. It's a time for others to pray over us and help us gain the strength we are going to need for whatever comes our way each week. It's a time to REJOICE!! A time to acknowledge who Jesus is and what He has done for us all.

It's also a time for others who don't yet know Jesus, to make that decision to accept Him and allow Him to breathe life into their lives. 

Church is so much more than just a building. It's a place where the spirit of God resides and where He is ready, willing and able to love you and to love on you through that body of believers. It's a way to go deeper into the word and allow God to minister to the very depths of your soul to bring you love, comfort, peace and joy!

The bible encourages us in Hebrews 10:25 to not stop meeting together for mutual encouragement and worship, especially as the end times approach.

"Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near".

Power In The Blood - Defined

Why do we plead the blood of Jesus? The bible tells us there is power in the Blood! This power consists of freedom, deliverance, healing and protection in the blood. It isn’t just for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus' blood makes us free in every way and by his lashings and bloodshed we are healed (Isaiah 53:5)

When you understand the mystery of the blood of Jesus, you will also understand the many purposes of the blood of Jesus.

The realm of the spirit is a legalistic realm and in the realm of the spirit, blood is currency used to do spiritual transactions. John 4:24 tells us that God is a spirit. In order to interact with a spirit and receive any form of assistance from a spirit, there must be payment and in the realm of the spirit, blood is currency. When Adam and Eve sinned, God had to kill an animal and cover their nakedness with the animal skin. Why? Blood had to be shed for God to be able to look at them. Hebrews 9:22 tells us that almost all things BY LAW are purged with blood and without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.

If you notice in the old testament the Israelites always had to do blood sacrifices for the atonement of their sins.

Every year, each family had to take a one year old spotless lamb to the temple to sacrifice for the atonement of their sins. The High Priest would kill the lamb and take its blood into the holy of Holies which had the ark of the covenant that had Aaron's rod, manna, mercy seat and the 10 commandments. When God looked down to judge the people he would see the 10 commandments and because none of them could keep all the commandments, they were guilty of death. (Romans 6:23- for the wages of sin is death)

When the high priest poured the blood of the one year old spotless lamb on mercy's seat, instead of the 10 commandments, God would see the blood of the spotless lamb on mercy's seat crying out for mercy for the people and if the sacrifice was accepted by God, instead of judgement, He would release mercy and the sins of the people would be atoned for, for one year. The bible tells us that when this happened the shekinah glory of the Lord would shine down throughout the whole temple and this is how the people would know their sins were forgiven and they would all bow down and worship the Lord.

If you want to know the value of something, you can always check the cost. Christ's blood was and is still the most powerful blood. It was used to pay the price for the sins of the entire world. In fact, His blood is so precious and valuable, it overpaid for the price of sin for the entire world.

If you owe someone $100 and you are unable to pay them and they are threatening to take you to court and someone else steps in and gives that person $1000 to settle your $100 debt and forget about the whole thing, your debt is paid. Even though it was not paid by you, the overpaying of your debt will not only satisfy the person's anger to whom you owed it, but it would also make them very happy. I use this example to demonstrate that this is the same way Christ's blood was overpayment for our sins.

Earlier when I mentioned the blood of the one year old lamb that the high priest would have to take to the tabernacle for the atonement of the sins of the people in the old testament, it was a foreshadow of Christ's sacrifice to come in the New Testament. The one year old lamb in the old testament was equal to the 1 year of atonement for sins. The lamb had to be one year old because it was believed that if the lamb was older than that, then it wouldn't be pure. If you notice in scripture while Christ walked the earth, He never sinned. His purity was a requirement to qualify to be the sacrificial SPOTLESS LAMB to atone for the sins of all the world.

When Christ was crucified, all of His blood was drained out of His body. This is why after they had nailed him to the cross, put the crown of thorns on His head, they used the sword and pierced His side and blood and water poured out. All His blood poured out when He was crucified on the cross.

In the realm of the spirit, all that blood was collected for Him to later take back to heaven when He raised from the dead. After He resurrected, and He had appeared to Mary and she tried to touch Him, He told her not to because He wasn't yet ascended to His father. Why? Because He needed to take His blood to the holy of holies in heaven as our High Priest and as the Holy Lamb of God, similarly to what the high priest would do in the temple for the atonement of sins for the saints of old.

He took His most holy blood as both SPOTLESS LAMB OF GOD AND OUR HIGH PRIEST and poured it on mercy's seat in heaven which is the an altar in heaven which is actually at God's throne. That blood now secures our eternal salvation.

This is why there is no other way to the Father but through Christ, because when we are in Christ, God sees us through the blood and anything seen through the blood of Christ is seen as holy because that blood is holy.

So essentially the blood not only redeems us, but it also covers us. And because it overpaid the price for our sins, it's also a weapon that we can use against the kingdom of darkness.

In the satanic ways, witches and warlocks always have to do blood sacrifices of different size animals and sometimes even human beings to engage demonic spirits to assist them in their evil deeds. There are different values placed on different living things. For example, the blood of a cow which is a larger animal would be more valuable in in the satanic than the blood of a chicken.

Christ's blood is most powerful. Every curse or witchcraft attack is powered by a demonic altar that uses some form of animal or human blood to give life to the curse. Leviticus 17:11 says the life of the flesh is in the blood. The satanic uses the life in the blood of animals and humans to give life to their curses.

Because Jesus's blood is most powerful, every time we plead the blood of Jesus with the correct understanding and in the right posture (pure heart and clean hands) it breaks every demonic curse and destroys demonic altars because the life of Christ that is in His blood is eternal and most powerful and that's why we plead the blood.

Read Hebrews 9 for verification of this.

We also need to be mindful that people can send blessings and curses that could be attached to money, cars, and personal belongings. If a person pleads the blood over those things, they are making a plea for Holy protection. Some may also desire to do harm and therefore have spoken a curse instead of a blessing so for this reason it's essential to plead the blood of Jesus over those things as well.

Glorifying God.. He Is Worthy of it All

When we surrender our own will to His will, that's where we see the miracles happen. The bible says for us to speak our blessings into existence and to give God the glory for Who He is. I think sometimes we think we are only supposed to give Him glory for those things we've seen Him do when in reality we are to praise and glorify Him even in the struggles, the valleys, the dark places and in whatever state we may be in. Sometimes our state of mind seems to dictate when and what we feel God is worthy of but the truth is that He Is Worthy of it All. Therefore, we should glorify Him through it all no matter the circumstances. The power within us resides through our glorifying God for Who He Is not just for what we See Him doing. We can glorify Jesus by thanking Him for all He's doing, all He's done and all He's going to do but let's not forget to glorify Him by thanking Him for being Who He Is too!

When God is Silent

There are times that we can often feel that God is silent. We pray but don't feel that He's listening. We may even feel that He's left us and that can create fear and anxiety in wondering what we did wrong.

It's during these times that we can feel completely isolated in other areas of our lives too and it's during these times of isolation that we can have a hard time seeing Gods hands at work in our lives. But if we will keep pressing on by pressing into Jesus through prayer and through the reading of His Word, we gain the strength through His promises and this is what's needed to keep hoping. As we hope, we grow in our faith in Him. As we grow in our faith, we begin to praise Him for things seen as well as for things not yet seen. As a response to growing in our faith, our level of trust in Jesus deepens and that brings about a reaction of belief. Through our belief, ALL things are made possible. Through our belief we gain peace in knowing that even while we can't see Him at work in our lives, we can trust that He is working all things for our good and in His perfect timing.

When we stay steadfast in our belief, we will eventually see the result of our hope that led us to faith which then resulting in trust and an unwavering belief that God is and was at work in our lives throughout every step of our journey. He was always going before us to prepare the way. 

So don't give up before your breakthrough. Don't get discouraged but rather trust that God is for you, not against you. He may be silent but keep believing that He is making a way for you because He loves you and wants the best for you.

There's a song that recently came out called Even In the Silence. The lyrics go on to say.. Jesus you're working and I believe it still, so let your promise be fulfilled. 

When God is working, He works on our behalf to fulfill His promises to us. One of those promises we can cling to through the isolation and times of silence is that He will never leave us for He is with us..Always.
