When One Door Closes

Are you struggling? Have doors been closed in your life and you can't understand why things happen the way they do? Are you praying for something specific and not hearing an answer?

You're not alone..

We all go through dry times and deep valleys in our lives. One thing that's always helped me is to remind myself that our lives are like a puzzle. Sometimes when we try and force pieces where we think they go or should go, we tear those pieces and then wonder why it's taking God so long to answer our prayers or fix our mess. But that's just it.. When we don't wait on Him and start to put puzzle pieces where we think they go, we make a mess that He has to fix before He can give us our blessings.

I often tell people during their struggle that we don't know what our puzzle is supposed to look like when it's finished.. but God has the box with the whole picture on it. We only see the parts of the puzzle that has already been put together. God told me this years ago and it really made a difference in my life and He just reminded me of it and I want to share it with you too. God is good and He has a specific plan and purpose for our lives and sometimes that means closing doors to protect us from the unknown but know this.. When He closes one door, He will open another so hang on and praise Him with expectations.

You know the Bible tells us that we can speak our blessings into existence. When we begin to thank Him for who He is.. Omnipotent, Wonderful, Loving, Sovereign, Holy God who loves immeasurably and one who gives good gifts, that's when we see the hand of God at work in our lives. We may not see it how we want to see it but we will see it in the way that He wants for us.

So praise Him through the storms of life. We can honor Him for who He is by trusting and having faith in the plan He has for us. He will make a way and once our desires conform to the desires He has for us, then He will also give us the desires of our heart.. 😉
